UNLV Soccer player Kyle Mellies named WAC Defensive Player of the Year
It has been a pleasure working with Kyle over the years. He first came in for sports training when he was at Silverado High School and has grown into a great student athlete. His sports training program has varied from functional strength training and Speed and Agility/Footwork drills to Mobility and Injury Prehab and Rehabilitation
Kyle Mellies, from Las Vegas, Nev. (Silverado HS), anchored the Rebel backline that allowed only 9.1 shots per contest and posted nine shutouts during the season. He helped limit the number of saves needed by the Rebels’ goalkeepers to a WAC-low 52 during the year. Mellies, who started all 19 matches for the Rebels, also played a role offensively and had five goals and two assists to tally 12 points during the regular season.
